A cutting-edge space technology company in Japan working on its own satellite constellation and data platforms, combining satellite technology, cloud systems, and AI to solve real-world challenges such as disaster monitoring and infrastructure analysis.
■ Your Role and Responsibilities
● Design, build, and operate satellite ground system infrastructure in cloud environments using Terraform, including the design, deployment, and management of Kubernetes clusters, as well as improving development productivity through CI/CD pipeline optimization.
● Lead the design, validation, and implementation of a Disaster Recovery (DR) site architecture, driving the project in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.
● Plan and implement security enhancement measures and ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and organizational requirements.
● Strengthen monitoring and alerting systems to support large-scale satellite fleet operations.
● Continuously improve operational efficiency through the use of AI agents for automation, cost optimization, and performance tuning.
■ Experience and Qualifications
● 3+ years of experience as an Infrastructure Engineer, Cloud Engineer, SRE, or DevOps Engineer
● Experience building cloud-native systems using Kubernetes and Docker on a major cloud provider (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure) ● Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or OpenTofu
● Strong knowledge of computer networks
● Software development experience (requirements gathering, design, programming, maintenance)
● Familiarity with CI/CD tools and processes (e.g., GitHub Actions, Cloud Build, Cloud Deploy, or equivalent)
● Experience developing and operating systems in Linux environments with an understanding of HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, load balancers, and databases
● Over 6 months of experience using major AI coding assistants (e.g., Claude Code, Codex, Gemini, Cursor)
● Willingness to respond flexibly to occasional weekend or nighttime incidents (about once per month)
● Comfortable communicating in English, both written and spoken
● Able to commute to the Tokyo headquarters at least once per week
■ Additional Preferred Qualifications
● Experience in defense, aviation, or space-related system development
● Experience adopting or operating observability tools or systems
● 3+ years of programming experience in C, C++, Go, Rust, or Python
● Experience with on-premises system construction or operation
● Experience in cloud cost optimization (FinOps), performance tuning, incident response, and DR site design
● Experience in system renewal/migration projects for mission-critical systems or multi-region architectures
● Business-level Japanese proficiency (JLPT N1 or equivalent, for non-native speakers)
