A global engineering services provider supporting major clients in the Marine and Automotive domains. This specific project involves on-site collaboration at a customer location in Odawara, focusing on the innovative development of electric outboard motors and inverters for high-performance marine applications.
■ Your Role and Responsibilities
Directly support the hardware development cycle by conducting inverter testing using motor benches. You will be responsible for executing hardware tests based on instructions from the Japanese lead, performing hands-on debugging and soldering, collecting critical data, and preparing comprehensive test reports to ensure product validation and quality.
■ Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering.
- 3+ years of professional experience in hardware testing and validation.
- Proficiency in Japanese (JLPT N3 or above) and ability to follow technical instructions in Japanese.
- Hands-on expertise with testing equipment: Oscilloscopes, DAQ, Power supplies, and Motor loads.
- Experience with hardware simulation tools and CANoe.
■ Additional Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience in the Marine or Automotive domains.
- Skilled in advanced soldering and diagnosing complex hardware failures.
- Experience with thermal management equipment like chiller plants.
- Self-starter capable of managing testing activities independently.
