■ Company Overview


Our Global Client is seeking a highly specialized Solution Architect to lead the design and development of innovative Insurance Solutions. This role is critical in leading the transition toward a future-state architecture that will integrate seamlessly with a modern Policy Administration System (PAS). Your work will directly support streamlined agency operations, reduce complexity, and drive business agility.

 

■ Your Role and Responsibilities 


As the Solution Architect, you will be the primary designer of the solution architecture for assigned IT projects related to insurance business solutions.

  • Lead Architecture Design & Transition: Lead the transition to a future-state architecture, focusing on shifting policy administration functions into the PAS, simplifying the front-end, and enabling rapid product launches.
  • Solution Delivery & Approval: Work with project managers and business analysts to deliver end-to-end solutions.
  • Lead communications with the Regional/Lead Architect to attain approval for the final solution, ensuring compliance with regional reference architecture, integration strategy, and standards.
  • Application Modernization:Lead the design of application modernization across all technical layers. This includes designing a decoupled architecture (separating UI from business process) and exposing business functions as services using OpenAPI.
  • Performance Improvement: Analyze pain points and bottlenecks, understand volumetrics and SLAs, and conceptualize and design solutions to improve business application performance.
  • SDLC Support: Lead the design of architecture, services, and components. Review and sign-off designs, and lead the implementation and integration of the solution.
  • Production Transition: Support the PM in defining the production support team structure, providing a full set of documentation (BRD, design, etc.), and leading the creation of the data integration operation manual.

 

 

■ Experience and Qualifications

 

  • Education:Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Experience:Minimum 5+ years of experience in IT and minimum 2+ years as a Solution Architect in software development projects.
  • Design Expertise: Successful end-to-end software design and implementation experience.
  • SDLC Knowledge:Good understanding of and experience in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Language Skills: Ability to Speak English and Japanese.
  • Industry Knowledge:Good understanding of critical Insurance processes or a willingness to learn insurance operations and business processes.

 

 

■ Additional Preferred Qualifications


  • Knowledge of business process analysis and modeling: BPMN (create, read, interpret).
  • Knowledge of UML (User case), and data modeling: ERD, and DFD (create, read, interpret).
  • Knowledge of modern web service technologies including OpenAPI, JSON, REST, XML, WSDL, UDDI, and General Web Services Technologies.
  • Experience with technologies like J2EE Frameworks (Spring),Portal Technologies (Apache, NGINX, Angular, JS),Cloud Technology (AWS and Azure), and Enterprise Integration technologies (BPM, ESB, MQ).
