Senior System Engineer – Instrument Cluster & Infotainment Systems

■ Company Overview

Our client is a global engineering solutions provider supporting major automotive OEMs and Tier-1s with advanced system design, validation, and embedded software development. With a strong presence in Japan, they are expanding their System Engineering team in Yokohama to drive high-quality delivery across cockpit electronics programs.

■ Your Role and Responsibilities

Senior System Engineer

  • Develop and manage ASPICE-compliant system engineering requirements
  • Perform requirement analysis, estimation, and planning of system engineering activities
  • Collaborate with software, hardware, and cross-functional teams for design and integration
  • Lead FMEA analysis, defect root cause investigation, and system-level troubleshooting
  • Review and manage Customer Technical Goals and Risks (TGR/TGW)
  • Peer review of all systems engineering deliverables and non-compliance tracking
  • Use and improve requirements management processes (DOORS NG, JIRA)

■ Experience and Qualifications

  • B.E./B.Tech in Electronics, E&TC or equivalent
  • 6+ years of experience in system engineering or system testing in the automotive industry
  • Deep knowledge of instrument clusters, infotainment, diagnostics, CAN, BT/WiFi, trip/fuel algorithms
  • Familiarity with regulatory and legal compliance requirements
  • Proficiency in UML, MATLAB, G-UI requirements, and system integration testing
  • Strong communication, technical documentation, and customer-facing skills

■ Language Skills

  • English – Full professional proficiency
  • Japanese – Full professional proficiency
