Your Role and Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Architect with a strong background in Lakehouse architecture and modern data management principles.

This role involves aligning data architecture with the company's IT and business strategy to maximize business returns and reduce overall IT costs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting the Chief Architect in data architecture decisions.
  • Defining and improving Target Data Architecture and Blueprints that support long-term business goals.
  • Collaborating with IT and data teams to design data solutions and ensure convergence towards the Target Architecture.
  • Supporting the company’s data strategy, analytics, BI/data visualization, and ensuring alignment with cloud platforms like AWS and Azure.
  • Leading data governance, data modeling, and contributing to enterprise-wide IT programs and AI/Data communities.
  • Working closely with Solution Architects to align data solutions with IT strategy, accelerating value delivery to the business.
  • Assist in IT strategic planning from a data architecture perspective.
  • Manage and promote Data Architecture Principles, Target Architecture, and Blueprints.
  • Act as a liaison between local and global architecture communities, ensuring alignment and standards compliance.
  • Provide hands-on technical guidance, including solution design, data modeling, and performance assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with information security and regulatory requirements (GDPR, PIP).

■ Experience and Qualifications

  • TOGAF certification or 5+ years of experience in data architecture.
  • Expertise in Data Management, Data Lakehouse, ETL, API, and Data Pipeline technologies.
  • Familiarity with GDPR, Cloud Technologies (AWS, Azure), and platforms like Databricks and Snowflake.
  • Experience with AI/GenAI and MLOps.
  • Proficiency in business-level Japanese and English.
