■ Your Job Title: QA Engineer (Manual)

■ Your Role and Responsibilities 

You will oversee QA tasks to ensure high-quality, user-friendly product development. Responsibilities include:

• Managing and updating quality standards.
• Leading the QA team and testing processes.
• Designing and executing tests for agile projects.
• Reporting test results and providing feedback.
• Collaborating with developers, designers, and directors.
• Proposing and implementing process improvements.
• Drafting proposals, contracts, and approval requests.
• Creating user manuals.

(Scope of any potential changes) Duties as defined by the company

 

■ Experience and Qualifications

• 5+ years as a QA Engineer with web or mobile (iOS/Android) applications.
• Skilled in analyzing technical specifications and creating/executing test plans.
• Experience in fast-paced IT/Web environments (agile experience is a plus).
• Proven ability to standardize QA processes and propose improvements.
• Effective communicator with development teams and stakeholders.
• Familiarity with QA tools (e.g., Zephyr, TestRail, ALM, etc.).
• Strong attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal communication and documentation abilities.

 

■ Additional Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with automation testing in Agile environments.
• Native-level Japanese or JLPT N1 (or equivalent) proficiency (non Japanese speakers are welcome to apply, however please note that Japanese speakers may be prioritized)
• Proficiency with Cucumber for test cases.
• Coding experience in web or mobile app development.
• Background in test automation for the credit card or financial industry.
• Experience managing in-house services.
• Expertise in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines.
• Development experience with AWS.

 

 ■ Other Points and Working Conditions

• This is a full-time position
• If you are not currently a resident of Japan, you must relocate to Japan, but you can live anywhere in Japan and work fully remotely if you wish
• Super flex working hours 
• Holidays: Weekends, Japanese national holidays, New Year's holidays and special company holidays
• Leave allowance: annual paid leave and other forms of paid leave
• Non-salary benefits: Japanese social insurances, Japanese 401K, language learning support, visa sponsorship, relocation support

 

■ Work Location

If you do not live in Japan currently, relocation to Japan is a must requirement for this position, and visa and relocation support will be provided. Of course there are offices, but you can live anywhere in Japan you like and work fully remotely if that's your vibe!

 

■ Salary 

Usually in the ￥7,000,000 - ￥8,000,000 range (Japanese Yen, per annum)
