Senior Product Manager AI

■ Your Role and Responsibilities 

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, to drive and execute project plans in an agile environment, integrating AI technologies seamlessly into product development.
  • Define and communicate a cohesive Scrum roadmap and milestones, aligning AI initiatives with the company's overarching business objectives.  
  • Conduct thorough market research, competitive analysis, and customer insights specifically focused on AI trends to identify opportunities for product innovation and enhancement within the Scrum framework.
  • Spearhead the definition, prioritization, and communication of detailed AI-centric product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Engage proactively with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and support teams to ensure the successful development, launch, and continual improvement of AI-driven products.
  • Manage and prioritize the AI-centric product backlog, balancing immediate deliverables with long-term strategic initiatives
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and success metrics specific to AI, providing insights to measure product performance and guide decision-making.
  • Act as the primary AI product evangelist, collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders to communicate the unique value proposition of AI-enhanced features and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Lead Scrum events, ensuring a strong emphasis on AI considerations in Iteration execution.
  • Drive the application of customer-centricity and design thinking, incorporating AI-specific tools and techniques to build AI solutions that meet user needs effectively.
  • Resolve team conflicts, addressing challenges specific to AI development, and mitigating potential pitfalls related to AI-specific dysfunctions.
  • Establish and optimize AI-specific processes, such as unit tests for AI code changes using AI-driven testing methodologies.
  • Enhance program performance by fostering an environment where cross-team collaboration in AI development thrives.
  • Build trust with stakeholders through clear communication of AI program objectives, ensuring a balance between predictability and adaptability.
  • Implement and coach Agile teams in executing AI tests early and often, incorporating AI-specific methodologies like Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).
  • Conclude AI Program Increments (PIs) with a comprehensive review and retrospective, facilitating continuous improvement for the next AI-focused PI planning session.

■ Experience and Qualifications 

  • Business-level English proficiency
  • 5+ years of experience in product management, preferably within the technology industry and proven experience in AI product
  • Demonstrated success in leading the development and launch of innovative, customer-centric products
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data and translate it into actionable insights
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.), and tools (JIRA, Confluence, etc.)
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • A customer-first mindset, with a passion for creating delightful user experiences and a track record of advocating for the customer throughout the product development process
  • Leadership and decision-making skills for making milestones with Senior PdM and Scrum
  •  Ability to execute the plan with Scrum

  • Japanese language proficiency at a business or native level
  • Understanding of cultural differences
  • Knowledge and experience in chatbots, AI, marketing, and SaaS products
