S globally renowned Tier-1 automotive supplier, designs units, develops, and manufactures advanced thermal management, comfort, and electric powertrain solutions. The department accelerates vehicle electrification and drivetrain innovation for leading global automakers and Japanese domestic OEMs.
■ Your Role and Responsibilities
Lead regional sales strategy and business development for drivetrain components, engine/transmission systems, and EV battery management technologies. You will oversee revenue targets, order intake, price management, and mid-term planning while managing a dedicated team of Key Account Managers and Administrative staff. In addition to driving domestic sales across the Kanagawa to Aichi areas, you will coordinate global requests and RFQs with overseas entities across South Korea, China, and Mexico, embedding "Challenger Sales" methodologies to elevate negotiation performance.
■ Experience and Qualifications
- 10+ years of total experience in the automotive industry (with 3+ years specifically selling to Japanese OEMs).
- Proven track record in team management, leadership, and talent development within a Tier-1 environment.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with experience leading price negotiations and commercial approvals.
- Business-level English proficiency for cross-border coordination with global sites and engineering hubs.
- Intermediate to native-level Japanese conversational skills for client-facing OEM relations.
■ Additional Preferred Qualifications
- Business-level Japanese fluency.
- Comprehensive understanding of large-scale Tier-1 sales processes and commercial management structures.
- Prior engineering or project management background transitioned into commercial/sales leadership.
