Engineering Manager (Bilingual in Japanese and English)

■ Your Role and Responsibilities 

(Upon Employment)As an Engineering Manager, you will lead a multinational team within our Growth or Platform divisions. Your core responsibilities will include setting team goals, mentoring engineers through 1-on-1s and performance reviews, driving recruitment, and designing scalable organizational structures. You will also be key in fostering a productive bilingual (Japanese/English) environment. Initially, you may contribute as a hands-on engineer to deeply understand our product before transitioning fully into management.

■ Experience and Qualifications

・Over 2 years of experience at a product-based startup company.

・Proven leadership experience as a manager in an engineering organization, developing in-house products and contributing directly to business growth.

・Hands-on experience developing and operating products as a software engineer.

・Business-level fluency in both English and Japanese for all work-related communication, including meetings and documentation.

 

■ Additional Preferred Qualifications

・Experience managing multinational and culturally diverse teams.

・Management experience in a rapidly scaling organization or startup environment.

・Development experience with statically typed programming languages.

・Familiarity with developing in a cloud infrastructure environment.

・A track record of leading multiple engineering teams to success.

■ Salary 

Annual Salary: 9 million - 12.5 million JPY. Salary is reviewed twice a year. A stock option program is also available.
