Career Opportunity: Senior Software Engineer in Japan | Tokyo (Hybrid) !

■ Senior Software Engineer (English Required, Japanese is a plus)

The organization is currently expanding its engineering teams to support large-scale digital transformation projects, leveraging cloud-native technologies, mobile development, and Generative AI, with a strong focus on PoC-driven and upstream development work.

■ Your Role and Responsibilities 

●Lead architecture design & technology decisions for scalable, high-quality systems.

●Drive modernization of financial platforms, reducing technical debt

●Provide technical leadership & mentorship to engineers, improving team capability

●Own end-to-end development delivery with focus on quality, timelines, and performance.

●Solve complex challenges related to performance, security, and scalability.

Core Areas

●Architecture & Cloud: Design large-scale systems and cloud-native solutions (AWS/GCP/Azure)

●Development Leadership: Hands-on contribution, agile delivery (Scrum/Kanban), system & database management

●Technical Standards: Define coding practices, test strategies, and best practices

●Mentorship: Guide and upskill junior/mid-level engineers through reviews and coaching

●Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with product, business, and client teams; communicate technical insights clearly

 

■ Experience and Qualifications

●7+ years of software engineering experience with team leadership (3+members)

●Strong expertise in at least two: Java/Kotlin (Spring), Vue/Nuxt, Go, C# (.NET)

●Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and IaC tools (Terraform/OpenTofu)

 

Technical Strengths

●Experience in modern architectures (microservices, distributed systems, event-driven)

●Solid understanding of SDLC, system design, and core computer science fundamentals

Communication

●Ability to communicate effectively in English within a global team (written required, speaking preferred)
