■ Satellite System Engineer

A cutting-edge space technology company in Japan working on its own satellite constellation and data platforms, combining satellite technology, cloud systems, and AI to solve real-world challenges such as disaster monitoring and infrastructure analysis.

 

■ Your Role and Responsibilities 

● Design of satellite system 

● Conduct system-level analysis and manage system budget 

● Develop and execute system verification and validation plans 

● Design operation concepts and define operation scenarios 

● Define, manage and track system-level requirements 

● Oversee configuration and change management processes 

● Manage interface between subsystems 

● Continuously improve the development process and contribute to best practices 

● Coordinate with cross functional teams 

● Manage workgroups or teams

 

■ Experience and Qualifications

● Bachelor degree in technical field. 

● Experience working with MATLAB and Simulink. 

● Minimum of 5 years work experience required in designing, implementing and realizing physical, cross-functional products, regardless of specific industry (e.g., aerospace, automobile, consumer devices) or engineering domains (e.g., systems engineering, mechanical, electrical, software). 

● Business Level English and Conversational level Japanese proficiency are required 

● Experience in project management, including leading teams, defining directions, and managing schedules and budgets where you have proven: 

● Great organizational skills 

● Ability to synthesize diverse opinions, structure information, and propose compromise solutions that align team consensus. 

● Communication and interpersonal skills, including active listening, logical verbalization of ideas, and confirmation of mutual 

understanding.

 

■ Additional Preferred Qualifications

● Business level Japanese language proficiency 

● Work experience in Space Industry 

● Work experience in System Engineering field 

● Knowledge of either spacecraft thermal systems or spacecraft electrical power systems
