■ Your Role and Responsibilities
The IT Auditor plays a pivotal role in facilitating Internal Audit activities across all entities in Japan. This involves delivering timely and independent assurance to enhance the control culture. The incumbent operates with a degree of independence, possessing a robust understanding of IT processes, capability to evaluate key risks, and effective interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts designated internal audit tests in adherence to industry and IIA standards, ensuring timely and quality execution aligned with the approved audit plan (from audit program to preliminary report).
- Contributes to the formulation of internal audit programs.
- Prepares comprehensive audit reports.
- Acquires and sustains knowledge of significant business risks and regulatory mandates within the team's purview.
- Engages with management effectively and empathetically during audit fieldwork, presenting findings succinctly during closing meetings.
- Collaborates with management to monitor action plans, aiding in their timely implementation.
- Adheres to internal audit standards and CAPT Methodology throughout audit evaluations.
- Assumes responsibility for personal professional growth, proactively pinpointing pertinent training and development opportunities, and cultivating a professional network, including IT auditors external to the organization in Japan.
■ Experience and Qualifications
Experience:
- Prior experience in Financial Services, Insurance, or Internal Audit/control functions is beneficial.
- Comprehensive understanding of various systems, theories, and practices within the industry.
- Background in technology is essential, encompassing areas like web applications, operating systems, databases, mainframes, and networks.
- Proficiency in IT general control processes, such as change management, SDLC/agile development, incident & problem management, disaster recovery, and security operations.
- Familiarity with frameworks like COBIT, COSO, and ITIL.
- Preferred certifications: CISA, CISSP, or other relevant technology certifications.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT auditing, IT governance, control, and/or technology administration/development.
Language:
- Fluent in Japanese.
- Proficient in written and spoken English (minimum B2 level or 785 in TOEIC). Additional languages are a plus.
