Product Designer

(Tokyo)

Duties

• Understanding the strategy and purpose behind implemented design.
• Design the most optimal UX for users through user research, information architecture, wireframing, prototyping, and UX writing.
• Maintaining top-notch quality on design without the expenses of speed and performance
• Construction of design system
• Asset arrangement using Figma
• Systemization of workflow for cross-functional collaboration
• Lead UI/UX improvements initiatives
• Conduct research with internal users and end-users alike to understand pain points and devise further improvements
• Design contents or logos for in-house events or projects

Requirements

• Business level proficiency in Japanese to liaison with users both external and internal
• Ability to swiftly catch up with the newest trend in UI design and understand ways to implement it.
• Ability to articulate the "why" of design decisions, provide rationale, and a POV.
• Ability to empathize with and solve for user’s needs and/or pain points.
• High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, figma
• Experience with team-leading responsibility or managing similar project to ours 
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to interact effectively with a variety of team members across multiple disciplines.
• Experience working with a company at our scale, launching a designer team from scratch is a huge plus
• High proficiency in Sketch, Xd
• In-depth understanding of web standards, HTML/CSS, and Javascript.
