■ Your Role and Responsibilities
The AI Engineer is a hands-on technical role within the Automation & AI Department, reporting to the AI Manager. The role focuses on re-engineering and modernizing legacy enterprise applications into modular, scalable, and cloud-ready architectures using AI- assisted development, automation, and modern software engineering practices.
●Analyze legacy enterprise applications and identify modernization opportunities
●Design and implement modular architectures (microservices, APIs, event-driven patterns)
●Use AI and automation tools for code analysis, refactoring, test generation, and migration
●Develop and maintain modern applications using latest cloud and software technologies
●Create proofs-of-concept and support pilot implementations
●Collaborate with architects, platform teams, and business stakeholders
●Document designs, patterns, and implementation standards
■ Experience and Qualifications
●4–8 years of hands-on experience in software development or system engineering
●Experience with modern programming languages and frameworks
●Understanding of legacy system modernization concepts
●Exposure to cloud platforms, containers, and CI/CD pipelines
●Interest or experience in AI-assisted development or automation tools
■ Additional Preferred Qualifications
●Actively learns new technologies, tools, and architectural patterns.
●Problem Solving: Approaches complex legacy challenges analytically and pragmatically.
●Collaboration: Works effectively within cross-functional teams.
●Business Japanese proficiency is needed
