Lead critical applications for a global insurance leader while driving AI innovation
■ Application Development Lead (Japanese Native/N1/N2 Level)

The organization helps businesses and individuals manage risk, protect assets, and plan for long-term financial security.
Lead the development and management of critical business applications, including data warehouse and customer/agent data systems, while driving innovation through the adoption of generative AI to deliver scalable, secure, and high-quality solutions supporting insurance operations.
■ Your Role and Responsibilities
●Lead end-to-end development of contract inquiry and agent data applications, ensuring performance, quality, and compliance
●Manage full application lifecycle from requirements to deployment, handling multiple projects and timelines
●Collaborate with cross-functional teams and coordinate resources across development streams
●Manage offshore vendors, ensuring quality delivery, technical alignment, and effective knowledge transfer
●Drive innovation by implementing generative AI tools and promoting best development practices
●Contribute technically using Java, COBOL, and SQL to build robust data and system integration solutions
■ Experience and Qualifications
●Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field
●Language Skills: Proficiency in Japanese (required), English proficiency is highly preferred but not mandatory
●Technical Expertise: Proficiency in at least one of Java, COBOL, or SQL with strong understanding of database management
●AI Tools Knowledge: Experience or familiarity with generative AI development tools such as Claude Code and GitHub Copilot (preferred)
●Project Management: Experience working in multi-project environments with ability to manage concurrent development initiatives
●Vendor Management: Ability to coordinate with offshore development teams and manage vendor relationships
●Data Management: Understanding of data warehouse concepts, customer data management, and system integration
●5+ years of experience in application development and system management
●3+ years of experience in team leadership or project lead roles
●Experience with data warehouse, customer management systems, or insurance-related applications (preferred)
●Experience in multi-project environments and concurrent project management
●Experience with offshore development coordination
