Senior Project Manager – Interior Experience / Automotive

■ Your Role and Responsibilities

As Senior Project Manager, you will take full operational and functional ownership of assigned OEM/OES projects. Your mission is to ensure profitability, quality, and production readiness of interior experience system programs while managing cross-functional teams and customer communication.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage OEM/OES development projects (components and system-level technologies)
  • Achieve KPI targets
  • Lead project planning, resource allocation, budgeting, and scope definition
  • Coordinate development, engineering, quality, purchasing, and process teams
  • Drive concept competitions to win new customer programs
  • Prepare and submit program documentation (CAA, IAR) 
  • Manage all project changes (internal and customer) across system programs
  • Apply design-to-cost methodologies and forecast/close performance gaps
  • Coach other Project Managers and support PM methodology improvement
  • Maintain customer communication and ensure transparent reporting
  • Lead crisis management when needed
  • Promote company culture, ethics, standards, and CLEAN development principles


■ Experience and Qualifications

  • Business-level Japanese and English proficiency
  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Management, Software, or Computer Science
  • Knowledge of V-cycle development standards
  • Strong interpersonal and cross-functional management skills
  • Knowledge of automotive Tier-1 development processes
  • Financial skills related to development, product, and manufacturing cost management
  • Automotive development experience
  • 7+ years as an OEM Application Project Manager with successful delivery


■ Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with in-vehicle radar and camera systems
  • Background in embedded systems or software development
  • Knowledge of CAN, LIN, UART, SPI communication protocols
  • System engineering skills (requirements analysis, validation strategy, traceability, functional safety)
  • Experience managing ~€90M projects
  • Leadership experience over teams of 10 core members (20–30 including external partners)
