RF Planning and Optimization Engineer- E

■ Your Role and Responsibilities

- Develop preliminary RF designs and link budgets considering path loss and cell radius using planning tools.
- Calculate the number of sites required within a cluster based on coverage needs.
- Conduct CW measurements for clutter and model tuning.
- Create nominal planning incorporating existing active cells, databases, antenna height, and azimuth.
- Incorporate new site details, generate search rings, and perform coverage predictions.
- Analyze network performance (coverage, quality, traffic, and load) and finalize RF designs based on survey feedback.
- Prepare RF Data Sheets (RFDS), update work orders, and verify configurations.
- Collaborate with engineering and customer teams to ensure parameter standardization and KPI optimization.
- Monitor and troubleshoot LTE and VoLTE KPIs daily, performing RF tuning and UE trace analysis.

■ Experience and Qualifications

- 10+ years of experience in RF Planning and Design.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Communication, or related Engineering fields.
- Strong experience in RF outdoor planning, link budget analysis, and network strategy.
- Deep understanding of vRAN architecture, ORAN, and radio products.
- Excellent knowledge of radio KPIs, counters, parameters, and optimization techniques.
- Proficiency in tools such as Atoll, Planet, or Asset for radio planning and design.
- Hands-on experience with RF design, optimization, and root cause analysis.
- Ability to analyze call flows and troubleshoot complex RAN issues.

■ Additional Preferred Qualifications

- Familiarity with CEM/geo-location tools and drive test analysis.
- Knowledge of LTE and VoLTE KPI optimization and tuning.
- Experience collaborating in cross-functional, global teams.
- Quick learner with the ability to work independently and under tight schedules.
