As a Test Strategy & Execution Management Manager at a leading foreign non-life insurance company in Japan, you will lead end-to-end testing strategy and execution to ensure high-quality, reliable insurance systems, while driving innovation through generative AI and managing global teams and offshore partners in a compliant, high-performance environment.  .

■ Your Role and Responsibilities 

●Team Leadership & Management: Lead and manage a team of 3–4 testers across Tokyo and Osaka, driving performance, mentoring, and a culture of continuous improvement

●Vendor & Offshore Management: Manage offshore vendors, ensuring quality standards, effective communication, and seamless knowledge transfer

●Strategic Planning & AI Integration: Develop and implement test strategies, leveraging generative AI tools and driving testing innovation and automation roadmaps

●Financial & Contract Management: Manage budgets and vendor contracts, including cost optimization and financial tracking

●Operational Excellence: Ensure regulatory compliance, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and establish robust testing frameworks and best practices     

 

■ Experience and Qualifications

●Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

●Leadership Skills: Proven experience in managing cross-functional teams and offshore partnerships

●Bilingual Communication: Fluency in both Japanese and English (written and verbal)

●Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of software testing methodologies, automation frameworks, and quality assurance processes

●AI & Innovation: Knowledge of generative AI applications in software testing and quality assurance

●Insurance Industry Knowledge: Understanding of insurance business processes and regulatory requirements in Japan

●Project Management: Strong skills in budget management, contract negotiation, and vendor relationship management

●8+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance

●5+ years of experience in team management and leadership roles

●3+ years of experience in vendor management and offshore coordination

●Experience in the insurance or financial services industry (preferred)

●Proven track record of implementing innovative testing strategies and AI-powered solutions
