As an Engineering Manager, you'll play a key role in internationalizing the engineering divisions, refining the technical architecture, and leading organizational changes. You'll collaborate with a diverse group of stakeholders, from product managers and designers to HR and other managers, ensuring smooth project execution and strategic alignment.

■ Your Role and Responsibilities 

• Lead and grow a high-performing application engineering team.
• Balance tactical leadership with strategic planning to ensure timely, high-quality deliveries.
• Drive continuous improvement in development processes, delivery reliability, and developer experience.
• Prepare your team for organizational and technical changes, fostering a culture of healthy growth.

■ Experience, Qualifications, and What You`ll Bring to the Role

• 2+ years of experience leading web application engineering teams.
• Strong background in software engineering (backend or frontend) with a proven track record in scalable architecture and system design.
• Excellent stakeholder management and conflict resolution skills.
• Business-level English and conversational Japanese proficiency.
• A passion for people growth, continuous improvement, and engineering excellence

■ Additional Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in security, domain-driven development, or the credit card industry.
• Proficiency in change management and meeting dynamics.
• Success in crafting development processes and supporting employee lifecycle.
• A commitment to diversity, inclusion, and ethical work practices.

■ The Tech Stack

• Backend: Kotlin + Spring Boot, Java + Spring Boot/Java EE
• Frontend: Vue.js 3, Nuxt.js, TypeScript
• Infrastructure: AWS, GCP (BigQuery)
• Tools: Slack, GitHub, JIRA, Confluence, Google Workspace

(Upon Employment) Tokyo, or remote from within Japan
