Backend Engineer

■ Company Overview

• The company provides SaaS-based software that digitizes property management for companies and property owners.
• As of 2024, the platform is utilized by 160 property management companies and 120,000 property owners in Japan.
• The company is expanding its Fintech business and is in the early "Zero to One" phase, aiming to offer investment opportunities in alternative assets.
• Future plans include acquiring financial licenses and partnering with property management companies to create new investment schemes using technology.

■ Your Role and Responsibilities 

• Lead the design and architecture of complex systems, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and performance.
• Write clean, efficient code in Golang, developing new features and improving existing functionalities.
• Implement software development best practices, including code reviews, testing, and continuous integration/deployment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, proactively identifying potential problems.
• Utilize AWS services (EC2, RDS, etc.) for scalable cloud solutions, optimizing for cost and performance.
• Implement and manage containerized applications with Kubernetes for smooth deployment and scaling.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers, fostering skill development and team contribution.

■ Experience and Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in backend development, including architecting and shipping software products.
• 3+ years of experience with Golang or similar high-level programming languages.
• Experience with API design and development.
• Familiarity with AWS cloud-based services (EC2, RDS, S3, etc.).
• Proficiency in application/system testing (unit, integration, performance testing, etc.).
• Experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration.
• Deep understanding of cloud architecture, scalability, and security best practices.
• Strong experience with Git for version control and collaborative development.
• Excellent problem-solving skills for complex technical challenges.
• Fluent in English, with strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to lead cross-functional problem-solving autonomously.

■ Additional Preferred Qualifications

• 7+ years in architecting, developing, and shipping software products.
• Experience with gRPC-based API development.
• Familiarity with tools and technologies for SRE and CI/CD pipelines.
• Background in financial systems or Fintech applications.
