Software Engineer

Note- Should be currently in Japan, you must go to the Tokyo office.

■ Your Role and Responsibilities 

• We seek a versatile software developer to join our team and assist us in managing the expanding business requirements. Collaborating with trading and sales departments, the chosen individual will operate on the Alpha platform and create inventive solutions that deliver a competitive edge and generate income.

  • The daily duties include:

    • Collaborating with the business to comprehend fresh ventures, concepts, or challenges.

    • Creating novel functionalities utilizing C#.NET/SQL/KDB in a distributed ecosystem.
    • Providing support and upkeep for the application and environment.

■ Experience and Qualifications 

• Possess a degree in a numerate field or higher.

• Proficient in creating distributed systems using one or more of C#, Java, C++, or Python.

• Knowledgeable in SQL database schema, index, and stored procedures.

• Possess a keen interest in derivatives and structured products.

• Skilled in implementing agile development and DevOps principles.

• Adept at working collaboratively and quickly acquiring new knowledge.

■ Additional Preferred Qualifications

•  Proficient in C# .NET, specifically LINQ, RX, TPL, WPF, and WinForms.

• Familiar with non-SQL databases such as MongoDB, Redis, etc.

• Knowledgeable in Python 3, including scripting, pandas/numpy, and backtesting.

• Skilled in KDB+ for big data querying, functional programming in Q, and system maintenance.

• Experienced in VBA/Excel, with the ability to migrate legacy spreadsheets into C# and debug VBA.

• Familiar with vendor platforms such as DevExpress, TIBCO (RV & EMS), Reuters, Bloomberg, and Horizon.

• Proficient in web technology, including the MEAN stack, and eager to promote the use of alternative technology in our platform.
